Don’t Stress; Relax with more chair massage

While many people recognize that stress can be detrimental to one’s health, it can potentially lead to severe issues that are far worse than the typical results of stress, such as sleep irregularity, irritability, headaches, and more. Stress has a physical and emotional impact on us. Many have opted for wellness programs such as chair massage, yoga, and walking clubs to minimize stress.
Laughter, an amazing medicine for “the blues,” not only can make one feel better but can also significantly reduce stress. It can be a strong medicine to help reduce stress and mental strain. Laughter can also boost your immune system while diminishing pain AND boosting your mood. With these facts, it seems that laughter can mean so much more than a way to feel better.
By seeking out positive situations of relaxation that are conducive to laughter, you could significantly reduce stress in your life and drastically improve your health (while also working against a common precursor to cardiovascular disease). Attend a funny movie, get lunch with some hilarious friends, and find ways to relax at work (especially when the environment is experiencing a particularly stressful season). Laugh it off- it’ll do you a world of good!
If you’re looking for a way to relax and create a less-stressful environment upon your return to YOUR office, we would love to serve your health and wellness “kneads.”

Five Fitness Mistakes, Chair Massage is not one.
We all know the challenges that come during these stressful times. With the news of the world and all the recent stress of the world now is the time to move your body and get out to enjoy spring temps! Making the decision to be healthy can be difficult, but when you consistently don’t see progress from your efforts, you can often feel discouraged and less motivated to keep trying. Chair massage, yoga, and other wellness programs can help with stress in the office.
There are common mistakes that people can make when on the road to fitness, and below are five common errors that could be making a significant negative impact on your fitness goals:
- Don’t walk around while carrying weights. Most assume that carrying weights can add extra resistance to your workout and can build strength in your arms while moving your legs. However, carrying weights can alter your posture and keep you from performing your cardio workout well and in a safe way. Try keeping strength and cardio training separate and focus on one at a time to develop the best results from each.
- Do NOT only do cardio workouts. Yes, cardio is wonderful for your body and can burn calories and fat, but your body needs more than running, elliptical, and other cardio exercises. Strength training is essential for improving your metabolism, preventing injury, and increasing bone density. Also, it catalyzes the burning of calories and can end up being a huge turning point in your journey to weight loss.
- Stretching is important- don’t miss it. Most assume that their workout is done once they have completed their set, run a certain number of miles, or accomplished their intended goal. However, stretching is vital both before and after the workout to warm your body up before working out, decrease muscle pain after a workout, and prevent injuries.
- Quick fixes don’t work. We are impatient when it comes to fitness and often want to see results fast. However, crash diets and extreme exercise programs can lead to false expectations and unstable outcomes. The results that last come from embracing a healthy lifestyle. Sure, you can lose a lot of weight quickly by eating too few calories and exercising way too much, but you are very likely to gain weight back once the crash diet ends and once you fail to complete your crazy exercise regimen.
- Social media is not a reliable trainer. Pinterest, Facebook, and blogs can be inspiring and helpful, but they should not be used as stand-alone sources for health advice. Many programs that focus on one particular muscle can often result in injury and overuse. Also, programs should be personalized to fit the needs and goals of each individual and should not be generalized to the entire population. Be careful what you read and credit it as true; your fitness aspirations and requirements are unique.

Sanitation and mobile chair massage
This video seems timely although made a few years back.
Rest assured that mobile chair massage therapists with Massage Kneads
are fully compliant with all guidelines while working in YOUR office.
Mobile chair massage and an active lifestyle have benefits!
A sedative lifestyle is not only boring—it’s also dangerous to your health. According to recent research, people who spend all day sitting at work are at risk for at least 35 diseases. These illnesses range from diabetes to osteoporosis to cancer. The good news is that even small amounts of activity make a big difference; just 10 minutes of walking restores all of the vasculature function in your legs reduced by 50%. Chair massage can minimize aches and pains on the shoulders, neck, and head!
Aside from avoiding diseases, here are some other benefits of an active lifestyle:
- Protects your future mobility. Regular exercise combats the weakening of your physical performance as you age. Cardiovascular fitness helps to increase your metabolism and improve your muscle health, which improves your overall fitness and health.
- Boosts your brainpower. Increased blood flow to the brain improves your brain’s ability to function.
- It improves lung function. Properly functioning lungs are attributed to people who have strong memories.
- Improves sleep. Exercise helps you fall asleep faster and get better quality sleep. This deep sleep helps your body to heal and renew itself.
- Bonus! Receiving chair massage aids to bring nutrients to the muscles which increase the range of motion to allow for increased physical activity. Employees that receive on-site chair massages write that they feel looser, less stressed, and energized following a massage session.
One client enjoyed her mobile chair massage and updated Corporate Massage Kneads with this testimonial. It demonstrates that mobile chair massage can make a difference!
5 STARS! Soothing to the body, mind, and soul
“Soothing to the body, mind, and soul. This was my 1st massage ever so I was a little unsure but David is so personable and has such an easy manner about him that I felt very comfortable. The conversation was easy and unforced and I left there feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. I felt so great in fact that I immediately went and signed up for another massage! I have had 3 so far and intend to have many more.”

Six time management tips & chair massage to increase productivity!
Do you ever feel like there’s just too much to do in too little time? You’re not alone in feeling that way. Have no fear! Many small changes can make a BIG impact on your workweek. Wellness programs including mobile chair massage can calm the mind and body to tackle that never-ending “TO DO” list. Chair massage increases productivity EVERY DAY!
Here are some time management tips for those of us who feel that there are simply too few hours in the day:
- Schedule your days. It may seem tedious, but scheduling appointments even for your routine activities can help eliminate wasted time. Take a few minutes each morning to plan your meal times, your errands, and other tasks to prevent yourself from idly wasting time.
- Schedule time for interruptions. We’re all human; a lot of what we do doesn’t seem to go as planned. Leave buffer time in your schedule to allow for emergencies and appointments that go over their allotted time. Sometimes more time is necessary, and the excess time can help reduce your stress level.
- Create a list of extra tasks. If, by chance, you find that you’ve blocked too much excess time in your schedule, have a list of extra tasks ready. By tackling these in your excess time, you increase your productivity without the stress of a tightly-packed schedule!
- Learn to say “no.” Even though it was probably your first word as a child, “no” has become the hardest word for you to utter as an adult. Let’s face it: if you find yourself to be too busy, you’re probably spreading yourself too thin. Remember that you usually don’t want to sacrifice quality for quantity. Take a deep breath and say “no.” The world will carry on.
- Begin with the end in mind. Set SMART goals for yourself and continuously evaluate your progress toward them. If something’s not going as you hoped, change something.
- Stay away from perfectionism. While achieving goals is great, it needs to be balanced by results. Don’t use your inner perfectionist as an excuse to procrastinate. Be confident in yourself and don’t let one detail keep you from moving on.
Using your time wisely can help lower your stress. Massage Kneads can help with your low-stress wellness plan too!

“Desk jockey” & Chair massage!
Today’s office worker is more stationary than ever. With looming deadlines and poor posture, the modern-day American office worker is often complaining of a stiff and sore neck and back muscles.
According to “a study from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Microsoft,…holding a tablet too low in your lap can force the muscles and bones in the neck into an unnatural posture, which may strain or aggravate other muscles, nerves, tendons, ligaments, and spinal discs. Over time, poor posture chips away at the range of motion in your joints. The neck problems described in the study above — and repetitive stress injuries from tasks such as typing — may occur, too.”[1]
Onsite chair massage therapists from Massage Kneads often get requests to rub (and fix) neck and shoulder stress due to poor posture, long hours at the computer, and using handheld phones. Once the neck and shoulder muscles are released by onsite mobile chair massage. The client benefits from chair massage by reporting a better range of motion, renewed energy and increased productivity! A quick 15- or 30-minute mobile chair massage can do wonders to get you back to feeling fresh and ready to tackle anything!
Engaging in simple activities such a shrugging your shoulders, twisting your torso, or taking a quick walk around the office building often gives the boost we “knead” to complete that big project or make that difficult follow-up phone call.
Stretching and onsite corporate chair massage go hand in hand for optimum health!
