February is Heart-Healthy month!

Heart-HealthyFebruary is heart-healthy month! It’s a great time of year to think about how you treat one of the most important organs in your body. Your heart is responsible for pumping nutrient-filled blood throughout your body. [2] The intricate weaving of your circulatory system—when taken proper care of—works amazingly! However, many Americans do not treat their hearts properly. In fact, heart disease is the leading cause of death in the U.S. Some examples of this kind of disease include:

  • Heart Attacks
  • Strokes
  • Heart Failure
  • Arrhythmia[3]

This month, place a special emphasis on heart health in your work environment. Encourage your employees to commit to keeping their hearts in tip-top shape by following these heart-healthy tips:

  • Manage your weight. Obesity tends to lead to heart disease!
  • Yoga, daily walking, and other exercises help the mind and heart!
  • Control your cholesterol. Eating fatty, processed foods too much will cause a buildup of plaque in your arteries. Do yourself a favor and trade those fries for a salad.
  • Stay away from tobacco. Smoking doesn’t just affect your lungs; it is the leading cause of premature heart attacks.
  • Manage your stress levels. Stress places unnecessary strain on your heart. Take a deep breath and relax!
  • Get plenty of exercise! Being active will help strengthen your heart and help to improve your metabolism by controlling your cholesterol and blood sugar levels.[4]

Chocolate vs. On-site chair massage!

Chocolate vs. On-site chair massage!

Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching. And with hearts, chocolate, and love galore, you naturally want to show the important people in your life that you do indeed care about them. While you obviously want to show your significant other, your best friends, and your parents your love don’t you also want to show your co-workers that they are appreciated? Yes, you could buy them chocolate OR sponsor an on-site chair massage event!

Other options for gifts include:

Look below at the reasons why OUR chair massage services are the best gift to give to your work valentines:

  1. No calories attached. Chocolate, while delicious, is not exactly the “healthiest” option. In contrast, a massage is healthy for you, it relaxes your tense muscles, and no one ever regrets getting a massage. Have you ever regretted eating an entire box of chocolates in one setting? Me too. Pigs will be flying on the day that I regret receiving a nice massage.
  2. Everyone feels the love. If you provide massage therapists in the office, all of the workers receive the same opportunity to be relaxed. However, if you give some workers gift cards and others not, the employees devoid of valentines will naturally feel left out. Don’t create tension on the day of love; let everyone feel appreciated.
  3. It will increase productivity. While your co-workers might be receiving a special treat, your business will be, too. When one is relaxed and free of tension, he or she is better capable of completing work. Think about it: when you’re stressed, is it easier to complete work at an efficient pace? If you replied “yes,” then you need to re-assess your work.
  4. It will leave everyone in a great mood on Valentine’s Day and better able to spread the love to others. When you and your co-workers leave the workday, you will all be relaxed and eager to show your other loved ones how much you value them.

Make this Valentine’s Day particularly special for you and your office! Think about calling Corporate Massage Kneads or Contact Us here to schedule our professional team to come into your office on or near Valentine’s Day. We would love to service any “kneads” you have and to help you spread the love on such a special holiday!

Offer chair massage during the Olympics

chair massage Baltimore

Who is excited for the 2022 Winter Olympics?  In relation to the world around us, many different aspects can contribute to the loss of productivity within the workplace. These are obstacles in our life that can affect how quickly we work and how much we get done. This could either be referring to personal, at-home problems, or it could be referencing worldwide events that may be going on. The most notable one as of lately is the 2022 Winter Olympics that start on February 4th. It has been shown that will be lost over the next few weeks due to productivity struggles. Onsite chair massage has been known to bring employees together to celebrate special events AND increase productivity!

HOW THE OLYMPICS AFFECT PRODUCTIVITY

While you may not think the Olympics has that big of a pull on a workforce, you may have to rethink that idea. 56% of business professionals admitted that they plan to watch the Olympics. 7% of them even admitted that they would secretly watch the games during work hours. In all honesty, it’s not super surprising to know that people will secretly watch the Olympics while they’re at work. It’s an event that is very special every few years. All want to witness a new world record being set.

Consequently, when the Olympics is so spaced out and only lasts for two weeks which an awful thing for productivity. Afterward, productivity picks back up to normal speeds and things seem to run smoothly again. However, there are smaller holidays and dates throughout the year that can put a damper on productivity. Valentine’s day, for example, is a day where many people try to get off work or get out early in order to spend time with their significant other, causing productivity to drop.

CHAIR MASSAGE HAS A POSITIVE EFFECT ON PRODUCTIVITY

In the end, anything going on around you seen as a distraction will cause a lack of productivity. Some people are really good at multitasking, others are not so much.  Regardless, it will set even the most organized person back a little bit. Keeping productivity levels high is an important aspect when it comes to business. Allowing these levels to fall can lead to loss of profits and lower company revenue. So if you’re planning on keeping your company together and on task during the Olympics this year, why not request a quote from Corporate Massage Kneads.

Specializing in mobile chair massage, Corporate Massage Kneads can decrease stress while increasing productivity following the massage. Results typically show improvement after an appointment.

Three reasons to be thankful for chair massage!

This Thanksgiving, think beyond the obvious reasons to be thankful. Of course, you should be thankful for the important people and things in your life, such as family, friends, and the roof over your head. Family and friends top my gratitude list along with my growing chair massage business which brings stress relief to employees in their office.

However, you should also give thanks for your wellness regime. More specifically, be thankful for corporate chair massage! There’s plenty to be thankful for with massages–the benefits of chair massage extend the benefits of other healthy wellness habits like exercise and clean eating; you might even live longer, be happier, and get promoted because of it. Whether you get massages regularly or you only get the occasional massage after or during a particularly stressful day at the office, the perks of corporate chair massage will make you want to schedule an appointment right away.

The good vibes you feel after completing a chair massage are the gift that keeps on giving. Those who receive chair massages are known to have less anxiety and depression and are less neurotic. Chair massage improves participants’ moods, whether or not you receive massages regularly. If you’ve noticed you’re happier now that you’ve started your appointments, thank corporate chair massage for you and your employee’s improved moods!

On-site chair massage has proved to make employees more productive, relaxed, and efficient at work. Work can be a major life stressor for employees and employers alike, but it doesn’t have to be. Corporate chair massage can offer stress relief.

More employers are starting to recognize the benefits of stress-reduction initiatives and wellness programs. Staff who feel engaged and appreciated are more likely to stay long-term, reducing employee turnover which increases employee wellness.   Corporate chair massage has been recognized as a stress-reduction tool, so giving employees an opportunity to receive massages at work can relieve stress and improve employee morale. Implemented a corporate chair massage program at work and noticed a change in employees’ productivity. Thank chair massage!

Massage therapy helps insomniacs in getting to sleep and staying asleep! The effect chair massage has on neurochemistry may provide a solid link between massage and insomnia treatment. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter responsible for one’s mood, behavior, body temperature, physical coordination, appetite and is necessary for a good night’s sleep. Corporate chair massage can directly influence the body’s production of serotonin. It has been proved that massage therapy reduces long-term pain and increases serotonin levels. Basically, more massage therapy means increased serotonin levels which means better sleep for you!

There are so many things to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. Be sure to add corporate chair massage to the list!

Thankful for on-site chair massage!

Yes, it’s that time of year again; the holiday season is finally here. With all the fun and happiness that comes with thethanksgiving most wonderful time of the year, in comes the annual battle many of us have to face. How can we maintain our health, fitness, and sanity in the midst of all the wonderful treats and chaos? You’ve worked so hard the past 10 months to keep your wellness goals; why throw it all away now? Unfortunately, that’s what too many people do – working hard to eat right, work out, keep stress low, and optimize their wellness for most of the year, only to hit pause once November hits. Holiday party planning is in FULL SWING! Contact us to help organize your onsite chair massage event for your staff!

But that doesn’t have to be your future reality, because you’ve invested too much in yourself to give up now. There are many ways to fight back against the “unhealthy holidays.” Stick to the health regime you’ve followed the past few months these holidays or if you haven’t started your journey to wellness, start now! After all, you’re worth it!

Usually, the issue with the holiday season is all of the excess or the temptation of excess. That’s particularly true when it comes to food, which can turn ugly and sabotage your health efforts if you don’t rein it in. With Thanksgiving in the coming weeks, keep in mind that moderation is the key, and the way to achieve moderation is to go to Thanksgiving and every other holiday meal with a plan: less is more. If you don’t pile on the food, there is a higher chance of waking up relaxed, feeling great about yourself, not overstuffed, and unmotivated.

In the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, stress can overwhelm even the best of us. And when we’re stressed, we’re prone to comfort activities, which can lead to poor eating and the halt of our fitness routine. Unlike the situation with the holiday parties, in this case, more is less. The more you stay true to your regular wellness regime, the less stress you’ll feel, providing some much-needed stress relief.  Another way to aid in stress relief is to consider making a massage appointment! On-site corporate chair massage allows employers to provide their employees with much-needed relaxation during the holiday season, with the convenience of massage therapists coming directly to the office!

Maryland’s onsite chair massage company, Corporate Massage Kneads’ client said it best with this testimonial

“The massage was great. I would recommend the 30 minutes as it gives you that time really to relax and enjoy the massage. The therapist provided detailed information and was very aligned with what I needed in my massage. I was more relaxed when I left and it also helped me get a great night’s sleep. I will be back.”

A lesson in receiving & mobile chair massage

mobile chair massage near me

Life is curious. I am still surprised by the little lessons I learn each day.  In the past, I have had TMJ aches which I often try to ignore. This situation flared up and the pain started innocently as I was biting into an apple while working earlier in June. Instead of disregarding this pain, as usual, I opted to take note, get a referral, and make an appointment with my doctor to get some pain relief.  I sometimes hear that sense of urgency from my mobile chair massage clients in Maryland. I felt confident and happy going in to see a local, experienced physical therapist to aid with my aching jaw. The first 50 minutes were a breeze with a qualified and very capable PT working on all affected areas.

As I gathered my things to exit the office space, the PT asked me to sit down and inquired if there was any feedback–good, bad, or otherwise–for her. I indicated I was pleased and already felt so much better.  She asked me to sit for a minute and proceeded to discuss with me the difference between being the receiver of work and always being the giver of work.  She (somewhat sternly) told me that it is very important to be still and quiet while receiving her bodywork and again to note the importance of receiving versus giving. She went on to explain that restfully receiving bodywork is an important step to the ultimate goal of healing and wellness. This conversation made me think. I told her I would take her advice into consideration for our next appointment in two weeks.

Since then, I have thought about this and many other encounters with others in my profession.  I now see and hear what she was saying when I had time to digest the golden truth of her advice.

Upon further reflection, I do believe her words to be true and am so grateful for this encounter.  She was doing her job with good intentions at heart–furthering my healing and wellness.

So many times when offering mobile massage work, I do my best to ease those aching muscles and offer suggestions to those that come in for chair massage. Prior to any massage, I typically inform the client that I prefer not to talk but to work steadily and at the moment offer all the gifts that I have. I will often not encourage dialogue to hold true to myself and my chosen work.

As healing is a process, we all “knead” to be still, quiet, and a frequent “receiver” to ensure that the healing process can begin.

Here is one client that is confident that regularly scheduled mobile chair massage is making a difference in wellness! See our testimonials!

5 STARS! Relaxing and Pleasant (pre-COVID)

“Professional and very relaxing. I am having it every 2 weeks once and it helped me a lot with neck pain. My neck tightness got better in a day after massage and getting better on every visit.”

With reviews like this one, I will continue to work all summer long with those that CHOSE healing in a quiet space.
