Chair Massage; the Best Gift in February

Love, sweets, cards, encouragement, friends, family, significant others, and mounds of chocolate- all of these wonderful things point towards a special day of the year that is a celebration of love and care. It’s a holiday that encourages people to be positive- to think about the important people in their life and to view situations in a “half glass full” sort of way. Within the spirit of Valentine’s Day and the month of February, why not talk about what many love about a chair massage event in Maryland?
1. It’s a personal time for relaxation. Crazy schedules can have you running around 24/7 from one event to the next, always moving and never taking time to just sit. Massage is a great way to have some “me” time. Without this essential personal rest, you can wear yourself out and eventually collapse from exhaustion. Take the time that you need and deserve. Breathe, relax, and enjoy a massage that will leave you feeling rejuvenated and ready to tackle the rest of the day.
Many of our clients leave us little “love” reminders on our testimonial page!
“This is a great way to relax in the middle of the workday.” -Client of Massage Kneads following a mobile chair massage
2. It eases tense muscles. Cricks in your neck, tight knots in your shoulders, and overall muscle tension can often prevent you from performing physical or mental tasks to your best abilities. These inconveniences, while often overlooked and ignored, can often result in bigger problems if left unaddressed and unresolved. Plus, they can feel terrible and can put a large damper on what would be a pleasant day/week/month. Don’t let your sore muscles remain in pain. Treat yourself, love your body, and take care of yourself.
“The massage I had was wonderful. Afterward, I felt like a new person. No more tense shoulders and neck.” –Corporate Client explaining the benefits of the chair massage!
3. It increases productivity and ultimately boosts brainpower. Imagine that you’re sitting in an office, grinding away at all of the difficult work that you have to complete. As the hours tick by, your efficiency and level of work wane. While a massage feels great, it can also improve mental functioning and can amplify the thinking processes needed for work and daily life. Sure- it sounds great and can be a wonderful break from a stressful day. But massage can also be a work-related necessity that could make the ultimate difference in whether your work is “okay” or “extraordinary.”
“This was by far the best part of my day. The massage was relaxing and I felt more productive the rest of the day.” –Corporate Client reviewing corporate chair massage by a therapist in Maryland with Massage Kneads
During this season of love, make sure that you take care of your body and give yourself the attention that you deserve. Also, treat your friends, co-workers, or employees to a massage that could boost work morale and increase productivity. Show them the love that they need to stay efficient, encouraged, and happy to be at work. Make sure that you let the people in your life know how much they mean to you, and treat yourself- what better gift to give than a massage?

Request mobile chair massage for wellness in 2020!
In attempting to start the new year off right and keep my exercise routine alive, I ventured to the local gym which opened back up following the holiday. One of my New Year’s resolutions was to change my gym experience a bit: I was going to start going to group classes instead of just the same old individual machines. When offering chair massage on a routine basis, I find that I “knead” more strength!
Imagine the disappointment I felt when I was not able to take my desired new exercise class due to no vacant parking spaces AND the volume of those other gym-goers that planned further ahead. With firm resolve, I opted for the other equipment I usually use and made the most of the time that was available and scheduled for daily exercise.
Does this ring true with your wellness plans? Have you had to “make do” in the past with the same old, same old ideas, routines, or otherwise?
January is generally the time of the year that companies such as Massage Kneads, Maryland’s mobile chair massage company, receive MANY requests for licensed, certified massage therapists ONSITE to offer mobile chair massage.
Many corporate clients have renewed energy and a new focus to bring fresh programs like corporate chair massage, chair yoga, and exercise options to support employee wellness throughout the year.
Some other ideas to include with our resolutions include building a focus word that fits your plans for the New Year. Themes could include kindness, growth, opportunity, etc. By choosing a focus word, the actions can be broad-based and allow for flexibility in working through goals for a new year AND a new you!
So, I ask – what are your plans and desires to bring wellness into your personal and work life? Massage Kneads can tailor a program that is both reasonable in cost and time spent and still brings BIG dividends for increased morale and productivity and possible relief from the “holiday blues” to name a few. The benefits are endless!
We would be honored to be considered as your chosen on-site chair massage company in the future.
Since 2006, Massage Kneads is Maryland’s premier mobile chair massage company. We provide corporate chair massage and wellness programs that fit whatever particular “kneads” you have!
If on-site corporate chair massage sounds like a program that can be incorporated into your business and wellness program, I hope to hear from you. Contact me, Janet Constantino, at 410-989-3577.
Escape. Experience. Enjoy!
Mobile Chair Massage; the Best office resolution 2020!
With a NEW YEAR and a decade upon us, many begin to think of resolutions for the year 2020, many people make similar goals: get organized, become successful, earn more money, etc. So many of these New Year’s resolutions are aimed at creating a less stressful existence through “fixing” crazy aspects of life and resolving to become a better version of yourself. Instead of trying to “re-create” yourself, why not treat yourself in the new year with a belated Christmas present that will leave you feeling relaxed, less stressed, and ready to tackle the New Year? Here are some reasons why you should look into incorporating a mobile chair massage into your office environment in the New Year:
- After the holiday rush, full of family, friends, and lots of food, many workers will return to the office feeling worn out, unmotivated, and consumed by an after-Christmas slump. While being with family and lots of company can often be exciting and fun, many workers might not feel particularly rested after the busy season of shopping, gifts, and feasts. A corporate chair massage might be just the solution to rejuvenate them and stir excitement among the employees to return to work.
- What better way to kick start the New Year than showing your fellow workers how much you value them? Instead of inciting stress and pushing the employees towards neck aches, headaches, and tension, many might really benefit from corporately provided mobile chair massages that could make them less stressed and ultimately more productive and beneficial to the company.
- As many people make resolutions to join a gym, earn a promotion, fall in love, and more, the gift of relaxation might be a nice break from the all-too-popular goals that have so many people trying to become better versions of themselves. Especially if many of your workers are beginning to work out more, a chair massage might be a great treat for their sore muscles (for more information, see my previous blog Recover from Your Workout with Massage).
- Large quantities of food, lots of time around big groups of people, and the crazy hustle and bustle during the Christmas season can often lead to headaches from unaddressed tension and stress. Not only can chair massage help with tension from working out and tight muscles, but it can also help with migraines and head pain. Providing corporate chair massage could not only be a nice benefit for relaxing, but it could also alleviate head pain that could be inhibiting work and everyday functioning (for more information, see Massage Relieves Headaches).
Bring in the New Year with a belated Christmas surprise that will make your workers more motivated and excited to return to the office.
Show them appreciation, provide relaxation, and make the start of New Year a beginning that your fellow workers will appreciate and love by scheduling a massage or wellness program to come to YOUR office.

How big is the massage chair?
Organizing a wellness event with mobile chair massage is a VERY rewarding job for Corporate Massage Kneads! We enjoy the satisfaction of working with companies to put together a wellness program that will allow for much relaxation and ultimately more productivity for those working day in and day out at a desk.
Many Human Resources administrators commonly ask these questions:
How big is the massage chair? The link below shows the size and dimensions of the chair!
What size space is optimal for this program?
Answer: The massage chair is similar in size to a desk chair. In order for therapists to work effectively and efficiently for the BEST massage possible, we like to have full access around the chair with a few paces around to access all the anatomy including the head, neck, shoulders, and back!
The time spent is minimal compared to the benefits of massage which include:
Increased morale and productivity.
When Fortune magazine featured the best 100 companies to work for in America, they emphasized corporate perks like massage. These benefits were shown to empower workers and positively affect the success of the business. The Gallup poll summarized that “employee attitudes correlate strongly with higher profits.”
Relief of stress and fatigue.
On-site massage is an energizing massage, but it also relaxes the muscles and soothes the spirit. Workers surveyed by Time Magazine preferred massage over coffee breaks!
Massage opens the mind and increases alertness.
Massage clears thinking and releases the individual’s innate creativity. “A fifteen-minute massage increases alertness and performance,” reports Dr. Tiffany Fields in Life.
Massage increases brain power and sharpens the senses.
The Miami Research Institute of Florida reported that office workers who were massaged completed a math test more quickly and with fewer errors!

Five tips for your workspace which includes mobile chair massage!
A Washington Post article stated “…Work is a marathon, it’s not a sprint. You really have to be there for a long period of time and to do that, you have to take care of yourself.” What are the options for this? Mobile chair massage, yoga, and nutritional seminars are all viable and cost-effective options.
Wellness programs continue to blossom in all types of businesses and the payoff is of value to many employers. This same article states “Although companies benefit from wellness programs — studies show that companies save $3 for every $1 they invest in health programs — places that offer co-working can’t reap the same rewards. Still, the return on investment comes in other ways, such as retaining members.” I would bet that most would take those odds to increase their productivity and improve the health of their employees which results in fewer sick days and a “healthier” bottom line.
“Whether it’s building meditation and yoga into the workday or providing a quiet room for a massage, full-service workspaces aim to make sure work isn’t the only focus, but when it is, it’s laser-sharp.”
In addition to wellness programs, there are several action items that help to maximize your productivity in the office. Here is a short list that is easy to manage!
- Add plants to bring in nature from the outside
- Bring in a desk lamp to add more light
- Change your office chair to allow for better ergonomics and posture
- Add additional storage space for better organization
- Making a slight change to the position and angle of your computer monitor can make a HUGE difference with neck and eye strain
Think about the satisfaction of all those amenities – yoga, relaxation rooms, on-site chair massage, etc. all in one place along with increased productivity. Like many others, I say “Yes, please!”
This client just booked and received a mobile chair massage last week and updated us with his experience earlier this month!
Got the knot!!
“I had been seeing a chiropractor for about a month but was still waking up hurting with a knot in my back right between my shoulder blades. Janet found the problem area and worked it over for 15 minutes straight. When I walked out I could feel the difference, the pain-free range of motion was amazing. Great work in just a few minutes!”

Mobile chair massage helps “spring” into wellness

With March here, Spring is HERE despite the recent rainy days! For a typical worker, it may not mean a whole lot since we don’t usually get things like a Spring Break. However, many workers can change their schedule by receiving mobile chair massage to increase productivity! Other tips are below.
Taking some time off
As we all know, it’s very important to use the vacation days that you are given. These days are there to help improve your overall productivity and keep your stress levels to a minimum. It would be an ideal time to take time off as vacation days with your kids during spring break. Spring is a great time to renew your commitment to feeling great in and outside of the office.
Everybody “nose” how pollen can be
Pollen can severely affect not only your overall health but your mood throughout the day. Spring is a time when flowers are blooming and pollen is all in the air, it’s basically impossible to avoid it! Make sure you get everything you need to fight back against runny noses and itchy eyes before the season starts. You don’t want to be caught sniffing in the office on March 21st. This goes for your children as well, you need to make sure they have what they need to succeed in school instead of blowing their nose all class period.
A clear schedule and nose can really help you out during the Spring. Instead of worrying about how the pollen will affect your work day, plan ahead. You can be the one who plans your work day and you can make sure nothing gets in your way completing all your assignments on time. With these spring tips in mind, you should be at ease.
