Six time management tips & chair massage to increase productivity!

Do you ever feel like there’s just too much to do in too little time? You’re not alone in feeling that way. Have no fear! Many small changes can make a BIG impact on your workweek.  Wellness programs including mobile chair massage can calm the mind and body to tackle that never-ending “TO DO” list. Here are some time management tips for those of us who feel that there are simply too few hours in the day:

  1. Schedule your days. It may seem tedious, but scheduling appointments even for your routine activities can help eliminate wasted time. Take a few minutes each morning to plan your meal times, your errands, and other tasks to prevent yourself from idly wasting time.
  2. Schedule time for interruptions. We’re all human; a lot of what we do doesn’t seem to go as planned. Leave buffer time in your schedule to allow for emergencies and appointments that go over their allotted time. Sometimes more time is necessary, and the excess time can help reduce your stress level.
  3. Create a list of extra tasks. If, by chance, you find that you’ve blocked too much excess time in your schedule, have a list of extra tasks ready. By tackling these in your excess time, you increase your productivity without the stress of a tightly-packed schedule!
  4. Learn to say “no.” Even though it was probably your first word as a child, “no” has become the hardest word for you to utter as an adult. Take a deep breath and say “no.” The world will carry on.

In attempting to start the new year off right and keep my exercise routine alive, I ventured to the local gym which opened back up following the holiday. One of my New Year’s resolutions was to change my gym experience a bit: I was going to start going to group classes instead of just the same old individual machines. When offering chair massage on a routine basis, I find that I “knead” more strength!

Imagine the disappointment I felt when I was not able to take my desired new exercise class due to no vacant parking spaces AND the volume of those other gym-goers that planned further ahead. With firm resolve, I opted for the other equipment I usually use and made the most of the time that was available and scheduled for daily exercise.
