Chair massage to celebrate Valentines Day!
Roses Are Red, Deadlines Are Tight: Give a gift they’ll actually LOVE, chair massage!
Valentine’s Day is almost here, which means it’s time to think beyond the usual chocolates, cards, and novelty mugs. We all have those people in our lives—partners, friends, neighbors, and even coworkers who quietly make our days easier. And then there’s that coworker: the ultra-festive one who shows up with gifts for everyone, leaving the rest of us scrambling and feeling slightly embarrassed.
Many of us respond by buying extra generic gifts “just in case.” You know the ones—impersonal, forgettable, and destined for the back of a desk drawer. Instead of giving something small and forgettable, why not give your entire office something meaningful, memorable, and genuinely appreciated?
Enter: on-site chair massage. Chair massage can easily be offered in the office for ALL to enjoy!
Think it’s too expensive? Not true. Corporate Massage Kneads, Maryland’s premier on-site chair massage provider, offers flexible packages designed to fit a wide range of budgets. Wellness doesn’t have to break the bank—and frankly, stress costs companies far more in the long run (American Institute of Stress, 2023).
Don’t think you have time? Chair massage is surprisingly efficient. Sessions start at just 10–15 minutes, making it easy to integrate into the workday without disrupting productivity. Short, focused massage sessions have been shown to reduce stress and improve mood and alertness (Field, 2016). And if the workday is packed, special events or team gatherings outside of the normal workday are perfect opportunities to schedule a massage program everyone can enjoy.
Mobile chair massage during busy seasons helps employees feel valued, supported, and refreshed—exactly the kind of culture today’s workplaces aim to build. Plus, if you’re organizing the event, you get a massage too. Consider that a managerial perk.
As one Corporate Massage Kneads client shared in their recent testimonial, “Everything was wonderful. All the employees enjoyed it very much. The therapist was great and friendly, and the timing for the entire day was awesome. Thanks again!”
This Valentine’s Day, skip the panic gifts. Give your coworkers a stress-relieving experience they’ll talk about long after the candy is gone. Corporate Massage Kneads has proudly served Maryland businesses since 2006, offering wellness programs tailored to your company’s unique kneads.

Five tips for your workspace which includes mobile chair massage!
A Washington Post article stated that “work is a marathon, it’s not a sprint. You really have to be there for a long period of time, and to do that, you have to take care of yourself.” So, how do we go about this? Mobile chair massage, yoga, and nutritional seminars are all cost-effective options that enhance personal wellness and encourage self-care within the workplace.
Wellness programs continue to rise in all types of businesses, and the payoff is highly valuable to employees and employers alike. The same article explains that “companies benefit from wellness programs — studies show that companies save $3 for every $1 they invest in health programs”. Evidence has shown that investing in employee wellness initiatives not only improves employee health and well-being, but also improves productivity and engagement, resulting in fewer sick days and a “healthier” bottom line.
“Whether it’s building meditation and yoga into the workday or providing a quiet room for a massage, full-service workspaces aim to make sure work isn’t the only focus, but when it is, it’s laser-sharp.”
In addition to wellness programs, here are a few other easy ways to prioritize your well-being while also helping to maximize your productivity in the office:
- Add a plant to your office to improve air quality and create a healthier and more aesthetically pleasing workspace
- Bring in a desk lamp to add more light, or to use as an alternative to unpleasant overhead fluorescent lighting
- Switch out your office chair to one that allows for better ergonomics and posture
- Add additional storage space for better organization, helping you to be more efficient and productive with your time
- Slightly shift the position and angle of your computer monitor which can make a HUGE difference in neck and eye strain
Think about how your office would benefit from additional wellness amenities such as yoga, relaxation rooms, on-site chair massage, etc, and the ease of having these amenities on site, subsequently decreasing stress and improving productivity. Like many others, I say “Yes, please!”

Got the knot!!
“I had been seeing a chiropractor for about a month, but was still waking up hurting with a knot in my back, right between my shoulder blades. Janet found the problem area and worked it over for 15 minutes straight. When I walked out, I could feel the difference; the pain-free range of motion was amazing. Great work in just a few minutes!”

Let’s celebrate MLK day this year
Today, MLK Day serves as a time for reflection, service, and recommitment to the values of equality, justice, and nonviolent social change.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day (officially Birthday of Martin Luther King Jr.), commonly known as MLK Day, is a federal holiday in the United States observed on the third Monday of January. It honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a central leader of the Civil Rights Movement whose commitment to nonviolent activism helped challenge racial discrimination and advance major legislative reforms.
Dr. King was born on January 15, 1929, so while the holiday is meant to be observed around that date, it follows the Uniform Monday Holiday Act, and therefore is observed on the Monday between January 15 and January 21 each year to be create a consistent three-day weekend.
The effort to establish the holiday began after Dr. King’s assassination in 1968. In 1983, President Ronald Reagan signed the holiday into law, and it was first observed federally in 1986. Although some states initially resisted or used alternate names, all 50 states officially recognized Martin Luther King Jr. Day by 2000.
The day is often celebrated with marches, rallies, parades, and speeches by civil rights and political leaders. We are encouraged to “reflect on the principles of racial equality and nonviolent social change espoused by Dr. King” as well as reflect on how we can effect positive change within our own communities.

Beat The Cold Season With a Chair Massage
January, February, and March can be difficult months; the post-holiday slump, cold weather, less sunshine, and it’s the season where every other person seems to be coughing and/or sneezing. The last thing that you want is to catch a cold or other illness that makes you tired, uncomfortable, and less capable of functioning throughout your already hectic life. Of course, you should be mindful of your surroundings and should always wash your hands, drink plenty of water, and do your best to maintain a healthy lifestyle. But did you also know that you can also help your body fight potential illness by getting a chair massage at the office?
According to an expert at the University of Alabama, massage therapy can help prevent colds, as well as enhance skin tone, and lower blood pressure. Chair massage benefits can be benefit your immediate health as well as contribute to long term health and wellness. Your body benefits from relaxed muscles and improved blood flow directly after receiving a massage, but the treatment can also strengthen your immune system and improve your overall mood and sense of well-being long-term.
Stress can significantly harm your immune system and leave you more prone to infection. By receiving a mobile chair massage which subsequently lowers your stress levels, your immune system can better direct it’s energy to fight against potential infections trying to debilitate your health that leave you feeling cruddy and miserable. Stress resilience can improve your mood, disposition, and perspective, which all help to improve your body’s ability to fight the many germs circulating this time of year.
Additionally, massage helps to improve blood flow through your muscles and throughout your body, contributing to overall health. Increased blood flow helps immune cells to circulate into your bloodstream, enhancing their ability to reduce inflammation and fight infections.
While these long winter months can leave us feeling down and less productive both at work and at home in our daily activities, we can help increase our body’s resilience to the hard winter months of cold and illness season. Treat yourself to a chair massage and decrease stress, and give your immune system an extra boost to fight illness, improve blood flow, and to enhance your overall sense of well-being.

Just say “NO!” to stress, “YES” to chair massage
Feeling stressed out? Want to make a change in the New Year? Why “knot” consider scheduling a chair massage this quarter? Schedule YOUR corporate chair massage event for a little reprieve and stress-relief
before we book up for the new year!
Corporate Massage Kneads‘ therapists offering chair massage in Maryland are experienced, fully trained, state-certified, and insured, taking away any worries from scheduling your on-site corporate chair massage event.
According to a recent article by Integrative Healthcare, “Nearly every person entering the field of massage therapy is fueled by a passion to help people better realize their capacity for wellness. As the connection between stress and declining wellness is repeatedly proven by the scientific community, massage’s ability to ease stress is becoming increasingly important. [Chair massage] therapists motivated to help steer people toward good health can realize this goal by bringing bodywork to one of the most prevalent locations breeding stress: the workplace.”
“Because massage therapy has been shown to reduce the physiological markers of stress and depression, companies recruiting massage professionals for their workers will have several advantages over those who do not.”
“Some facts highlighting the relationship between work and stress include:
- According to the American Institute of Stress, workplace stress costs the nation more than $300 billion each year in health care, missed work, and stress reduction efforts.
- According to the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, workers who report they are stressed incur health care costs that are 46 percent higher, or $600 more per person, than other employees.”
The Integrative Health Care article goes on to state that there is evidence of decreasing stress when given the option of an on-site chair massage.
Many of our corporate chair massage clients look forward to their assigned day for chair massage as it is regularly scheduled each week. Many corporate clients like this “easy button.”

A New Year of wellness & mobile chair massage!
The end of December is HERE, and January is right around the corner. Time sure does fly! Many of us are looking back on 2025 and thinking about all that has happened this year, and what changes we hope make in 2026. If you have not established a corporate wellness program already or are looking to expand your wellness offerings in the new year, Corporate Massage Kneads would love to partner with your company! Our mobile chair massage services can be booked in Baltimore, throughout Maryland, and the surrounding areas (including DC and Northern Virginia).
As we all know, a lot of people start thinking about New Year’s Resolutions this time of the year. Goal setting, whether large or small, helps you to set intentions, gauge progress, and yield tangible results in the New Year. I think about others’ resolutions and wonder if how successful people are at completing them.
A very common New Years resolution that many try to achieve is losing weight. Weight loss and management can be a hard journey, but the motivation for a fresh start always seems to increase the interest level and commitment in the new year. Meal plans, workout schedules, and new fitness regimens are often included in this goal. If weight loss or management is part of your new years resolution, here are some tips to increase your chances of success:
Start small!
One of the biggest mistakes people make is setting overly ambitious rules and regulations for their weight loss regimen. If you historically haven’t given much consideration to your diet, it may be hard for you to cut out an entire group of food. Let’s say that on a normal day, you eat steak, potatoes, and green beans for dinner. It isn’t realistic to tell yourself that you will only have salads for dinner from now on. It makes it much harder on yourself and makes your new diet feel like a chore. Instead of switching the meal entirely, my advice is to replace parts of the meal. This is one easy, small example that can make consistency easier and yield significant results! Why not replace that side of potatoes with a side salad? Gradual habit changes can be more effective in the long term, and are more realistic than trying to overhaul your entire diet or lifestyle.
Gradual Increases!
As you begin to prioritize a healthier lifestyle, gradual changes will help when incorporating more exercise as well. If you’re brand new to exercise, start out with just a five-minute workout each morning, then for the next week, trying adding one additional minute per day, and see how you feel with ten-minute workouts. Once you’ve found a workout length that challenges you while still feeling realistic to keep in your daily schedule, keep up with that length of time. When it becomes easier, or when you want to challenge yourself, you can continue increasing. Everyone has different comfort levels and we’re all on different journeys, it’s okay to start small and work yourself up. Just like meal prep, it’s important to make gradual, consistent changes in the way you exercise as well.
Remember that New Year’s Resolutions are for your benefit, and you shouldn’t compare yourself with anyone else. New years resolutions and goal setting are to help and motivate you on your personal journey. So start slow and make sure you’re comfortable with where you’re at before making bigger changes. By going at your own pace, you are less likely to feel stressed and overwhelmed by your goals, and better able to make consistent progress towards them.
Incorporate Wellness at work
Mobile chair massage at work can also enhance wellness results during the workday and throughout the workweek. There are many benefits of massage, including decreased stress AND increased productivity, which can be especially helpful when starting back after the holidays and heading into a New Year!
