Chair massage and NEW techniques!

chair massage in Maryland

Enjoy mobile chair massage!

Fall is here which means a change to me!  The dropping of the leaves is like shedding old habits and brings forth new energy and interest. Autumn also means it is time for the renewal of my continuing education credits as a seasoned licensed massage therapist! Go on and schedule your mobile chair massage event NOW!

Thus, I signed up in May for a well-known visiting instructor to come to my area. As I thought, the wait was so worth it as I enjoyed some fellowship while learning new skills on Sunday.

The topic of the Indian Head, Foot, and Neck massage class was intriguing and allowed for new techniques to be enjoyed by mobile chair massage clients and table clients alike.  After sixteen years of offering on-site chair massage, it is time to refresh and bring new skills to new and familiar clients. The class was excellent and well worth the effort!

As mentioned, on Sunday, I spent all day with other local therapists which energized and confirmed my passion for massage.  We chatted like old friends, enjoyed free massages, giggled, and laughed while practicing new techniques with new and different scented oils! What a great way to spend a Sunday!

I ask you this dear reader! When was the last time you had the opportunity to relax while enjoying a new hobby, treatment, or skill? The time is now to shed old ideas, habits, and outcomes and start anew as Mother Earth tells and shows us how!  Mobile chair massage is my passion. What is yours?

When organizing my thoughts for this blog, I realized that I have been working through projects from mid-summer to now in order to bring new exciting changes to my company, Corporate Massage Kneads.  I find it interesting that we work towards goals and projects in detail sometimes without noticing the momentum and timing of such efforts.  An example that comes to mind was hiring new mobile to meet the requests for chair massages in Maryland.

So many loyal clients communicate with us to update us that massage is an important part of their week. Massage Kneads is thrilled to provide such a well-received and requested program.  Mobile chair massage is easy to set up, reasonable in price, and efficient as massage therapists are on-site ready to work on those aches and pains.  The best option for productivity and time management is as there is no excess scheduling, driving, and planning required as we come to your place of work!

Chair massage fixs “tech neck!”

What is “tech neck,” you ask? Tech neck is classified as a condition that is caused by a strain on the neck, back, and shoulder muscles. It develops from tilting Chair Massage Marylandyour head in a downward posture for long periods of time. As a result, it will cause strain to your neck, shoulder, and back muscles to strain thus resulting in tech neck. This blog will address how to aid in avoiding “tech neck” through proper posture, strengthening, and onsite chair massage.

Technology has become an important life for many of us on a daily basis. If you work in the office, however, technology is everything to you. Each day you enter that office building, you use a variety of tech to help you complete your job efficiently. Without all the help that these electronics provide us, we would be struggling to meet deadlines. It’s insane to think about all the gadgets that we use in the office. Swipe cards to log into shifts/ open doors, computers to get our major work done, tablets, phones, projectors, speakers, the list goes on. These things are made to make our days a little bit easier, but they don’t only provide us with benefits.

When you’re sitting in your office chair at your desk, you may notice that you aren’t exactly sitting up straight. This is something commonly known as “tech neck” which is a form of bad posture that consists of our heads drooping and our shoulders positioned forward. This posture has become prominent due to phone and computer usage. Since we need to get a better view of the screen, we adapt our bodies to see better and type easier. While this may seem harmless, it can actually affect many different things. It has been shown that slouching and bad posture promotes decreased energy and can affect your mood.

THREE Solutions for you

Proper Posture

After learning about how bad posture can affect your mood and your energy, you might want to try a few changes in your lifestyle. The first one is relatively easy and can help show you results over a period of time. Changing your desk setup to promote proper posture is a small change that can help you in incredible ways. There are a wide variety of ways you could go about this, whether you buy chair pads to help you sit up straight or re-positioning your computer for easier access to the screen and keyboard.

Core Strength

There are a few recommended exercises you can begin daily that can improve your posture. Holding your body in rough positions emphasizes stability in your body. Some examples include Push-ups, deadlifts, or planks. By emphasizing stability in your workouts, you can expect to see a change in how you stabilize yourself while sitting down in a chair. You will have more control over the way you’re positioned and your body as a whole.

Onsite Chair Massage

Spending years using bad posture is a difficult habit to break and many of us have yet to do so. This can cause pain in your back that is very hard to get rid of. To take a step in the right direction, we have loyal clients trusting us with offering Chair Massage in Maryland for 16+ years! Any office style can suit chair massage!

When creating wellness programs for a company, there seems to be a trend of “one size fits all” or generic copy-paste wellness plans for companies. Corporations are going for a more modern, technology-based workspace with an open area building structure. There is definitely a reason for this trend, however, as many specialists have noticed that this style of work can be very beneficial to productivity and energy throughout the day. Companies aim to have high productivity for their company, so why not go with the best option? The reason this can be an issue is that you need flexibility for office space so that nobody is left out. Many clients inquire about the space required when scheduling an onsite chair massage event.

Take into account different needs that workers in your office building may have. Not every person is at the same level socially, emotionally, or even physically, especially following COVID. There are many people who would rather work by themselves in a small four-corner cubicle than in an open area collaborative workspace. It all depends on the individual, and when considering the layout of the building and what to include, get a feel for what everyone wants. It may be beneficial to send out a short mandatory survey to see the interests of everyone before deciding.

Emotional Relief

While being social and discussing plans with your coworkers is a very important aspect of many of our jobs, we also need time to ourselves. The best way to accommodate this is to create a safe quiet zone. A relaxation room with calm, lowlights, and maybe even an area to grab some hot tea or coffee. This style of room allows for a place to go if you need some time alone or away from the loud crowd at work. You can sit down in a comfortable chair, grab a cup of tea, and read a book.

Social Hour

There are also people who experience quite the opposite of a social work environment. Many places have a standard of quiet, calm workplaces. This can be beneficial in allowing for focus and keeping productivity high, but it’s not for everyone. If your workplace is like this, you may want to have social gathering events daily. This can be achieved by having picnics once a week on Fridays and cookies and tea on Mondays. Once you have mapped out a schedule to help employees engage with each other socially for a little bit on a daily basis, you can really improve the overall mood of those who are social butterflies.

Depending on the way your office is set up, it’s important to accommodate areas in the workspace so everyone can do their best. It can be a damper on your overall mood if you’re a social butterfly and your office is constantly so quiet you can hear a pin drop. The other way around as well, it can really be hard to find alone time in an office that’s constantly busy and loud. By accommodating both of these styles of work, you are improving productivity, because employees now have the options and resources to help them get the energy they need.

You may also want to consider a site-wide massage event with Corporate Massage Kneads. Our trained chair massage therapist professionals are centered and grounded to get your energy levels back and keep you productive!

Enjoy productivity; chair massage

Are your work and home life IN BALANCE? When working in medical sales and always feeling overwhelmed, my former boss used to say “we all have the same time each day and week.” This was just background noise at the time as I was young, energetic, chair massage near me and only had myself to worry about. Since then, times have changed as I now have a family, a small business, and more interest in other activities like tennis, yoga, etc! It seems to be all a balance between working from home vs. the office. Many services including chair massage, acupuncture, online shopping for groceries, and pre-ordered meals can make a difference!

TIME AND MONEY

In my weekly pursuit to bring interesting blogs, I found a recent article that caught my interest. It was all about time and money and how people choose to spend both.  We all know how spending money on material items can give us a feeling of satisfaction and short-term happiness with new clothing, household goods, etc.

PRODUCTIVITY

What about when we spend money on services that allow for more time and possibly productivity? This is altogether a different matter. It seems as though this brings about a higher level of satisfaction with such services as house cleaning, grocery delivery services, etc. It rang true according to this article for people in all different countries and income levels.

STUDY

When testing the participants of this study, each was given a set amount of money and told to buy any material thing that they desired. Another group was given the same amount and told to pay for a service that would save them time. The results from each study done in the United States, Canada, Denmark, and the Netherlands indicated that people that spent money on saving time reports greater satisfaction at the end of the study.

SERVICE-RELATED SPENDING

My question to you is what can you do to save time and buy efficiency? Would housekeeping, dog walkers, or grocery delivery services make a difference in your work week? Would personal services like chair massage, acupuncture, or personal chefs offering ready-made meals make a difference in your work week? I too have tried to challenge myself to a new way of thinking about time and money by asking similar questions. By changing my spending habits for services, I can feel refreshed and ready for other fun activities like fun family time and sports or exercise that help me to be more productive and energized.

Work chair massage in your office

Recently, I’ve read up on an interesting topic about workspaces. Workspaces vary from each business to the next and can go from many different styles. The most known type of area for work is the traditional

chair massage near me

On-site chair massage

cubicles. You know, the ones where you have a small area to yourself, a wall, and then someone crammed right next to you. Studies show that while this may be the best type of workspace area-wise, it isn’t really the best option for productivity. Being “trapped” in a small area with others in close range can be uncomfortable, and stressful and may even prevent you from being as productive as you would in another setting.

This has been a topic of debate for quite some time now, as companies are stuck deciding if it’s worth it to cash the extra money on better workspaces. From the research I have done, it is definitely something companies might want to put together a budget to create an inspiring office environment. Take Google for example. Their location in Silicon Valley has an amazing campus with many different things to take in. Google offers open areas, gyms, game areas, areas to ride your bike throughout the area, and even a nap room to catch up on sleep! These are all places that have been implemented in businesses to help keep inspiration in the workplace and keep productivity at a high.

It is obvious that workplace changes can make a big impact on the company.  However, they don’t have to be as drastic as some of the ones listed. Just expanding your offices to a more open, freestyle space has shown a boost in focus and a drop in stress levels among workers. Maybe instead of those boring desks, bring out some fun creative tables, whiteboards, or even some cool rolling chairs. Colors are also something that can affect the mood of your employees. Instead of a boring old beige, why not green? Or maybe a bright blue? When people see these colors, they tend to be in a more inspired state of mind as opposed to a dull color.

Workspace changes will not be complete without some fun and helpful ways to kick back. With the extra space in your office, you might want to use it for something the whole office could enjoy. Parties are a great way to relax the mood of your office and bring everyone together. It is important to have good social events to help get to know the other people you share your office space with. Another good way to help your employees kick back is to bring wellness programs into the office. By showing your employees you care, you are showing them how to reach their full potential and you are helping them reduce the stress that may be building up for them. Massage Kneads specializes in bringing stress relief by offering on-site chair massages. Your employees will know just how much you appreciate them.

This testimonial was sent in by one of my regular clients. Corporate Massage Kneads is so pleased to offer mobile chair massage each week to those that “knead” some stress relief!

Highly Recommended! “I carry a lot of tension in my back and shoulders and sitting in front of a computer screen all day does not help the situation. In just a short amount of time, Janet is able to get out all the “kinks.” It really does make a world of difference to me. Also, based on what’s bothering me the most at the time of my visit, Janet is able to customize the therapy for my back, neck, or shoulder issues with the right amount of pressure to alleviate the tension and discomfort. Thanks as always!”

Three remedies for back pain!

back painDay in and day out, we find ourselves waking up to the same routine and doing the same things. While this isn’t an awful thing, since developing a schedule for yourself can actually be quite good, many of us are forming bad habits. These bad habits are different for everyone and can affect many of the things you do. Although they can seem minor, back pain over the course of a day, day to day, week by week, could drain your energy.

Something that is commonly shared among many office workers is lower back pain, which can be caused by a combination of these bad habits including sitting at the desk for hours on end and not stretching enough during the day.

Taking time out of the day to go and see a professional isn’t always everyone’s first option when dealing with back pain. Here are some at-home remedies you can try to follow to help reduce that aching back pain.

Yoga

There are a lot of people who are skeptical of going out and trying yoga. It’s completely understandable because some of the positions that are done are quite intimidating. However, don’t stress yourself out about it! There are many different techniques and levels to start with, so you won’t ever be starting with poses that are hard to achieve. Yoga is very beneficial to your body as a whole, not just your lower back. So if you want to work on all of your troubled areas, yoga is the way to go. Yoga is so much more accessible today with classes on Netflix, YouTube, and at the gym.  There are even different routines that will help you target pain in specific areas.

Essential Oils

Essential oils are a must when it comes to helping reduce pain as well as stress. There are so many different oils to choose from, so make sure you do some research on what ones you will need specifically. Lavender is very good for reducing aching and can be applied directly to the skin to help with any issues you may be experiencing. A super easy way to help keep your home an environment surrounded by essential oils is a diffuser. A diffuser allows you to choose an essential oil and then choose many different options regarding it, such as how often you want it to go off. Also, many of the diffusers are fun light-up colors that can really allow for a relaxing mood.

These at-home remedies, along with many others, can help reduce the pain you are getting from long days at the office. Of course, if pain persists, make sure to seek a professional who can lead you in the right direction to the right track in terms of relief.

Mobile Chair Massage

It may also be in your best interest to consult and chair massage therapist to help ease that back pain from prolonged sitting at the desk.  Corporate Massage Kneads has licensed, certified, and insured mobile massage professionals who can help reduce the pain and the stress that comes with it.

Wouldn’t you like to be sending me a testimonial like this one?

“Janet is great. 30 minutes is perfect for a comprehensive massage with the focus on key spots. 15 minutes is good too if you have a focus area that needs to be addressed but not a lot of time. She always seems to hit the spot and provides relief where needed! An awesome benefit that my company provides at a reasonable fee.”
