Success with mobile chair massage
Twenty-one years ago, I made one of the best and biggest decisions of my career. I chose The Atlanta School of Massage for my massage certification. With many options to choose from in Atlanta, I found the staff to be most knowledgeable, interesting, and INTERESTED in the Open House prior to confirming my decision.
Deciding to complete the Neuromuscular Massage Therapy program at ASM, I learned more about how to best solve physical and medical concerns while growing my skills and trade beyond what I thought possible.
Early on, we were told that we too could palpate muscle tightness through our hands and even our elbows. Impossible I thought! Now, it is a given and trusted skill set after years of working when offering hours and hours of mobile chair and table massage each week.
What does it take to become a massage therapist you ask? 720 hours of class work, exams in every subject from Anatomy, Self Care, Business, and many hours of practice, practice, practice with different students all day!
My life has been enriched ever since and many often inquire about the strength “kneaded” for this physically demanding job. Through the gentle guidance from compassionate teachers and fellow therapists, we ALL grew both personally and professionally each day. With specific (and sometimes annoying reminders in school) guidelines for proper body mechanics, I have been happy to keep up the tempo, pace, and deep pressure skills for 21 years ago this week!
My company, Corporate Massage Kneads, specializes in mobile chair massage in the Maryland area.
The benefits are many including:
- Better physical health
- Mental wellness
- Reduced stress and anxiety
- Increased mental alertness
- Relaxation
I also suggest certification for various trades to both the young and old as it never fails to complete my life in so many ways; helping and understanding others “knead” for wellness regardless of age, daily stressors, and/or physical limitations.
As a graduate of the Atlanta School of Massage in 2001, Janet Constantino, CEO of Corporate Massage Kneads, has been passionate about offering mobile chair massage to large and small businesses. I am grateful, happy, and still working in the way I prefer to operate! What about you?
In 2006, Janet started Massage Kneads to offer corporate chair massages in Maryland to large and small local businesses. Contact us HERE to get your wellness program started!

Workspaces & chair massage go together
Since 2020, many different trends are appearing all around the world. Things have definitely changed since the way they were many years ago. Of course, besides our beliefs as a whole, technology has changed as well. It was 2007 when Apple released the first iPhone, fast forward to today, we have the X. All areas of technology are improving with fingerprint recognition, facial recognition, and location services to name a few. Everything is updated to help us out in our day-to-day lifestyle. It can be a part-time job keeping up with the media, technology, and all the changes. Luckily, scheduling a chair massage event in Maryland is easy!
A while ago, I discussed the importance of open-space offices and how they can affect the overall productivity of not only individuals but the company as a whole. Being able to have a space that’s interactive and less cramped can really clear the fog out of your head. While the whole open space office idea may just seem like another trend that’s popping up in the latest years, it has actually been studied and proven to work. Now, there are a few things you have to keep in mind when planning out a design for your new offices.
Multiple Areas
Sure, you can agree that an open space office is a perfect fit. There’s so much room to spread out and allow your brain functions to flow. However, remember that everyone is different and maybe the whole open area may not seem so good to them. The open area to them might be seen as a distraction and keep them from getting their work done, which is the opposite of what we want to gain from this. While you focus on creating large, open creative spaces, make sure to include a few quiet enclosed workspaces. Some days people can also work better in their own space, and having that option definitely helps productivity.
Up-to-date Software
When you’re focusing on a project, a laggy or uncomfortable laptop can really damper the mood. Depending on the type of work being done at the company, accommodate those needs. If you’re focused on gaming, consider a game room with high-definition televisions. If you’re more of an office with workers who type more, consider the latest MacBooks or Surface computers. Not only does this boost the mood of your employees, but it also increases productivity.
With all of these ideas in mind, it’s important to make sure you know your target client and preferred style of communication from those in the corner office. It is always a great idea to have individual face-to-face meetings with your employees or department as a whole. By doing this, you get an inside view of what needs to be included in the final office layout for everyone to enjoy. Keep in mind options for new employees you may have down the line, as well.

Highly Recommended!
“I carry a lot of tension in my back and shoulders and sitting in front of a computer screen all day does not help the situation. In just a short amount of time, Janet is able to get out all the “kinks.” It really does make a world of difference to me. Also, based on what’s bothering me the most at the time of my visit, Janet is able to customize the therapy for my back, neck, or shoulder issues with the right amount of pressure to alleviate the tension and discomfort. Thanks as always!”
It’s a great way to start off the new year and help bring everyone together in a fun and helpful way.

Chair massage offers big results
Throughout the week, you more than likely spend a good amount of time at your job. Whether you work in an office or work in retail or a corporation, you tend to spend many days stuck there. For most of us, it is physically and emotionally draining to work for hours on end at our job. Client after client, customer after customer, a repeat process of events that consistently take place can really put a damper on your mood. Sure, maybe every once in a while things change up at work and that’s always fun and interesting, but on those other days, motivation can become scarce. I have compiled a few small tips (like chair massage) to help you get through the workday.
Change it up
Every day you go through a routine of things you do at your job. Wake up, get ready, go to work, come home, and repeat. It’s an endless cycle and it has been proven that boring repeat schedules can affect your motivation and productivity. Maybe wake up earlier and try a new coffee shop you’ve had your eyes on. You could also try your hand at cooking and bring some in for your coworkers to try. Anything that can help you keep the work day fun and interesting will help you in the end, overall.
Stop and breathe!
A long rush of people call you or show up at your store. Craziness ensues and soon enough you’re running around making sure everything is running smooth. This type of behavior is a strong cause of stress among many employees. You have to make sure you are staying on top and productive but must remember you can only do so much. Keep a good middle ground and remain calm in situations of intense workloads.
My advice is to follow a breathing method which has helped me for the past two years.
- Breathe in for 8 Seconds
- Hold for 6 Seconds
- Breathes out for 4 seconds
This breathing method instantly takes a large portion of stress off your shoulders and lets you move on with your duties. Feel free to use this multiple times throughout the day, whatever you can do to help yourself.
Not every day at the job is going to be fun and enjoyable. You will have your ups and you’ll have your downs. That’s okay and everyone goes through these, you aren’t alone. Using the two methods I mentioned, you can turn a regular work week into a more interesting and stress-free work week. Maybe change it up on Mondays and Wednesdays, or which days seem to drag on the most for you, personally. It all comes down to trying your best to choose your mood, your best work effort, and personal wellness.
Stress won’t instantly be removed from just breathing exercises. There are many other ways you can bring down your stress levels in addition. The best way to combine relieving stress and changing it up in the office is to get a professional mobile chair massage from Massage Kneads into your office today. Chair massage can offer stress relief in fifteen minutes. How is that for an easy change along with great time management? Why “knot” give it a try and change it up a little!

Happiness tips & mobile chair massage!

Workers are happier with on-site chair massage!
Whenever you have a bad day, it is all too easy to get sucked into a vortex of negative emotions. Sadness can be hard to dismiss, and when you are having an off day, it can sometimes feel like the end of the world. However, you can fix that!
Here are some good tips to escape the negativity and turn your day onto a more positive note.
Don’t beat yourself up.
1. Don’t beat yourself up. When you’re feeling down, instead of getting frustrated with your negative emotions and feeling guilty for having a bad day, recognize that everyone has them and give yourself some grace. Accept that every day is not perfect (most days aren’t), but every day has an ending and you can start fresh the following morning.
Buy your favorite meal/snack.
2. Buy your favorite meal/snack. Once you’ve accepted that a day isn’t really “your day,” take action toward making yourself feel better. Do you want French fries? Find the nearest fast-food restaurant! Buy that ice cream that you have been craving for a week. A little treat could make a huge difference and give you a nice boost to get through the rest of the day.
Get moving. Work out. Exercise.
3. Get moving. Work out. Exercise. Endorphins are wonderful, and when you work out and exercise your muscles, these “happy hormones” can significantly improve your mood and state of mind. Sometimes the last thing on earth that sounds appealing is exercise (especially when your day has been less than satisfactory). However, if you can muster the energy and determination, I guarantee that a nice walk, short run, relaxing swim, etc. could leave your body feeling better and your mood much improved.
Surround yourself with people that you love.
4. Surround yourself with people that you love. It can be tempting to be alone when in a bad mood, but 9 times out of 10, being alone will probably only make you feel worse. Call up your friend, have a nice phone conversation with your brother, or make a visit to see your parents. Company and community can be a great way to get out of a “funk,” so try to avoid secluding yourself and surround yourself with people who love you.
Treat yourself! You deserve it.
5. Treat yourself! You deserve it. Whether it’s a small vacation, a wonderful meal, a fun activity, a small present to yourself, or a massage, be nice to yourself. You’ll thank yourself later. Everyone has bad days. The best thing that you can do is to accept it, don’t worry, and do things to make yourself happy.

Increased focus after chair massage
A common issue I have seen throughout the last couple of years and especially since COVID is distractions interfering with efficiency, productivity, and focus. These distractions can range from a wide variety of different things in your life like your cell phone, emails, incoming mail, etc. Some of these situations are in your control and some are out of your control. But, fear not, I have found a few useful techniques to help you out with keeping those distractions out of your life. Increased focus can follow after a chair massage session. Some of these I have used in the past and some of them are suggestions from others out there with the same struggles.
Put that phone down!
If you’re working for a company or a business, you most likely have a cellphone. They’re a great way to contact your boss and your coworkers with ease. Cell phone communication can speed up your productivity. Using email has sometimes been known to be more time-consuming as responses are not immediate. Both tools can increase productivity as long as they are monitored and used appropriately. They can also be our worst enemy in terms of distractions with Facebook, music, and YouTube all readily and easily available.
I know you don’t want to miss that tweet from your favorite celebrity, interest group, etc. Neither do I but when it comes to work putting the phone away and out of sight can be the best tool to avoid distraction. One suggestion is switching off notifications for certain apps during work hours to avoid temptation. One simple modification to your phone settings will keep you on task and hard at work without making you miss an important update!
There’s a time and place for that new episode.
I know we all have our guilty pleasures when it comes to television shows. Some of us can’t wait to see who gets eliminated or what happens next. It happens to everyone, and that’s mainly the point of television, to get you hooked. It’s okay to watch these shows, cause let’s face it, we all do. I have a few tricks up my sleeve to help you out if you’re struggling with this issue too.
You come home from a long day of work and you still have the giant pile of paperwork to finish up, but your show is on in 10 minutes. The solution to this common problem is actually a lot more simple than it may seem. You can add the show to your DVR and allow for the episode to record so you can watch it at your own convenience when you’re through with all of your work. I don’t know about you but when I get to sit down and watch my favorite program after all my work is finished, it’s much more satisfying.
Relax!
With these new tricks on your mind, you’ll be able to work through the workday without distraction. Meeting deadlines and finishing projects will come much easier once you spend less time (and energy!) with non-work-related distractions. These two methods work hand in hand with each other. If you’re on your phone less and work harder throughout the day, you might be able to go home without extra things to do which may just allow for more downtime at night and during the weekends.
You’ll notice you have more time to yourself to do things you want to do outside of work. You might just realize you have more stress than you know. Working those long days at the office definitely puts a damper on your emotional and physical health. A relaxing massage from Massage Kneads has been known to help out with stress and increase productivity during the work day. So take a break from the big things in your life and schedule a chair massage today!
This review was just emailed to us today. Corporate Massage Kneads is confident to focus on your “kneads” to help decrease your stress while increasing your productivity following your mobile chair massage.

What is the “water cooler effect”?
Staying on-site for work is coming BACK although working remotely is IN! What is your company offering to bring your employees back into the office? Requests for chair massage are on the rise so it seems that employees are heading back to the office.

Reading numerous different articles preparing for this blog highlighted this recent change. Online posts highlight the shift of employees coming back into the office from the comfort of working in their own homes. This new trend has been nicknamed the “water cooler effect.”
Large companies (you know them all!) are encouraging more interaction between co-workers which allows for more creative thinking and increased performance. With new office buildings and complexes being built, there is much more thought on how to build teamwork with employees during the 40+ hours of a regular workweek.
Companies are striving to hire and retain valuable employees. This year, more and more inquiries have been received by Corporate Massage Kneads to plan chair massage events from many types of companies, both large and small. New programs are sure to bring excitement to your work life.
Some businesses have offered these types of programs with great success:
- Team building retreats or programs
- Themed events such as game nights, cooking demos, yoga classes
- Pictures to post on the intranet social media platforms
- Parties with themes such as holiday parties with competitions built-in
- On-site chair massage events (We hope!) to show staff appreciation
Many companies seek wellness programs and want to bring stress relief to the office worker. In doing this, it shows the concern and appreciation which goes a long way to those working each day bringing their best.
Corporate Massage Kneads was fortunate enough to receive this review just a few days ago. We welcome this feedback as it shows the value and appreciation from our clients AND their employees.
